Here’s a page from a book that was given to a friend at her recent baby shower. As a male monkey, I was honored to be allowed attendance.

My Daughter found this tiny monkey in a vending machine. I love vending machines, just like Cracker Jacks used to be, you never know exactly what you'll get, but it might be something really cool.

Getting Monkey Ready To Read is a blog by a mom about the books she's reading to her daughter. I came across it during a Google search, as my new book is on her daughter's reading list.

This is a little Wibbly.

I found myself face to face with this fearsome monkey while messing around in Facebook. In one of the side panels they offer gifts to give to friends. This “Wibbly” was today’s gift.

Surf Monkey

I spent a few days on the beach with my family. While my kids were skim-boarding, I sculpted a couple of sand creatures. Here's a Gorilla I made on Saturday, and on Friday I made a Monster. That's my son James next to the Monkey, and my son Ian is the one who's about to be bludgeoned with a shovel by some kid who was hanging around. You can see the monster and another shot of the gorilla here.

I was visiting my new niece, and quickly realized she was in possession of several monkeys. Here’s one with a ring body for easy gripping.

Bar monkey

I was at The Slipper Room in NYC to see a friend’s performance with his physical comedy group Happy Hour when I spied this monkey high above the bar. Not until I saw the image did I notice the Mexican wedding figurines.
Looks like they need to dust. No wonder my martini was dirty!

What a mug!

Elaine finally showed her mug, so now I have to show mine. A friend who had no idea I bought one for Elaine bought one for me!

Monkeying hard or hardly monkeying?

My hubs-end got me this mug for Christmas, lest I forget that we work together. I enjoy a variety of hot bevs in it.

Monkey roll

Here’s a monkey I forgot to add from Licensing Show or Toy Fair. I can’t remember which. I’m not even sure it as a monkey though, because all the characters on the poster were sea creatures except this one. It was called “Sushi Pack.” I’ve never had monkey sushi.

Coconut monkeys are bananas

These have to be the cheesiest souvenirs one can buy, but somehow they have been getting made (and apparently bought) for as long as I can remember. These were in the Bahamas. There were more, but I couldn’t bear to take any more pictures of them. I had to take the one that looks like Dr. Zaius, though.
